The work springs from the margins. Black mixed-race heritage and gender performance inform this non-binary language, work that comfortably holds polarised positions, opposites in harmony, hybrid identities. Aesthetics that operate a definition of beauty through that lens. I shelter the personal and incongruous alongside the social and political. Focussed on the territory of erased lives, making space to centre the marginalised.  

My sculpture practice fuses an industrial aesthetic with an organic sense of form, classical African properties work their instinct into structures recovered or imagined.

My film practice offers these new voices a safe space, a modern internal dialogue held without apology or explanation. Affirmations, confessions, an aesthetic of black love, "a cypher safe with truth" is a line from the forthcoming work 'Vibranium'.

Art that is 'generous'.
